Alaska cruise with infant

My husband and I with our daughter who's going to be 18 months in August will be going on the southbound Alaska cruise in mid-august

I would like to know if the baby sitting services are good and is there anything like night patrol. When the baby sleeps for the night can we leave her in the cabin and there is some sort of alarm to inform us about it

I was also thiking of booking for a leter seating and feeding my daughter in the cabin.

Most of the lines have in-cabin babysitting in the evening but some won't care for babies as young as 18 months.

Yes, you might enjoy the trip more if you have a later, more leisurely dinner.. It will depend on the babysitting possibilities.

I think you would be foolish to think you could leave your daughter alone in the cabin with " some sort of alarm". Ships are hugh and I would never leave an infant alone. It also depends what ship you are on as most Alaska sailings have fewer kids on board and limited if any babysitting services. You daughter is too young for the group babysitting available on some lines.
