Pools on Alaska Cruises

We're on the NCL Sky next week, with 2 12 year old boys. Some reviews I've see sound less that pleased with the kids programs (but they could be wrong). Does anyone know if we can expect the swimming pool to be operational? I know that the weather will probably be less than conducive to swimming, but if it's heated---

Don't know about the Sky but the last time I was in Alaska on Celebrity's Galaxy both the inside and outside pool were in use. Women were sitting around sunbathing in their bikinis. I thought they were crazy but then I live in Miami and anything less than 72 degrees is cold, IMHO.

I also have not been on NCL but many used the pools on the Sun and Star Princesss when we were in Alaska last time. I plan on using the pools this time on the Dawn Princesss. Last time we sailed early May.

On the Mercury last summer, all of the pools were in use. My son and I sat in the jacuzzi during an ice storm in Hubbard Glacier. It was fabulous and so much fun!
