what kinda things are there to do there?

hi im samantha a 12 year old girl.
this is my first cruise and i have to go with my sisters(2 of them)and my mom.
i dont no what to bring and what is there for me to do?im goin to alaska for a 7day journy.thanks i hope i get a responce!

First thing - go with an open mind. Think you will have a good time and you will.

Visit the kids program on the ship. They aren't all for babies. My three nieces ages 9, 11 & 13 loved the kids program on Carnival. This is where all the kids on the cruise ship get together and meet one another. Make sure you go to the first meeting. It is very imporatant.

Get a blank book (journal) and write down everything you do everyday. Even if it sounds stupid now - you will be glad you did later. Buy a small disposable camera if you don't have one. This way you can take whatever pictures you want and think are important to you.

Hi Samantha,

How fortunate you are to be able to take a cruise so young! For onboard activities, really study the daily "newspaper" the ship will give you each day. There are lots of on board things to do. Also check in with the youth center since they will have actvities planned for folks your age. As for "off ship activities" referred to as "excursions", you can check out www.rccl.com, www.celebritycruises.com, www.ncl.com, etc." for the excursions that are offered. Most cruiselines offer the same set of excursions (Princess cruises don't list their excurions with write-ups on the web). As to what to bring, don't forget warm layered clothing, rain gear and binoculars. There will be plenty of nature to take in on this trip, but you'll miss a lot of it without binoculars. Have fun and when you return let us all know how you enjoyed it!
