i am so excited about our alaskan cruise...it is our 13th cruise but you would think it is our first...i havent done this much research in a long time...i havent made up my mind to use the cruise lines excursion or not...several said coastal helicopter tours was a good one to use..and sourdough for the totem poles...anyone have the web sites for these??/i am very leary about the helicopter tours because i do suffer from motion sickness...i have finaly discovered the patch and it does wonders for me...i just feel not going is really missing something ..who knows if i'll ever make it back again...so how bad is it... thanks for all the info you all provide...its been a BIG
help..are the totems poles worth it...some say it can be boring...
I have glacier helicopter landed 6 times with 3 companies. I prefer Coastal for their very personal tours. I found ERA shuttle like. Coastal is significantly cheaper than the ship excursions. www.coastalhelicopters.com
As for Sourdough 888-801-7596 - I recommend this tour because it includes both Saxman the totem bight, if you are not interested in the poles it doesn't make sense to go. I also like the small Totem Heritage Museum- www.city.ketchikan.ak.uson the walking tour map. Be sure to request the Ketchikan visitor guide- 800-7703300 www.visit-ketchikan.com
