dont get me wrong, I LOVE CHILDREN, but i want to take a relaxing vacation on a ship that is not full of the darling noisy things. i am going in the middle of sept, and hoping they will be in school. at least most of them. anyone been at this time and know. will be in alaska, the inner passage on the carnival spirit.
I cruised in June on Carnival Spirit and there weren't that many children. The few there were made their fun by using the phones near the elevators to call us claiming they were room service--hehe--but other than that it was fine. Alaska seems to draw a more upscale crowd and less children.
Very few kids are on Alaska cruises compared to the Caribbean. However going mid Sept will have very few, but you are not going at an ideal time- more cold weather, rain, and short daylight- plan on dusk at 7pm. Be sure to get this sailing at a bargain. I make my second yearly trip mid Sept (going on a cheap last minute sale) and there is no comparism to the experience earlier.
