I'm staying in Anchorage a couple days after the cruise and I wanted to see some wildlife (moose, caribou & bears) without going to Denali. I know there's the Alaska Zoo and Big Game Alaska Drive Thru Wildlife park, but I don't want to rent a car to visit them.
Does anyone know of a specific 1-day tour that I can do? Is there a public bus that goes to either the zoo or wildlife park? Thanks.
Are you interested in bike riding. A possible opportunity for moose is the Coastal trail to Kincaid Park- 11 miles from downtown- bike rentals right there.

I think you are making a mistake not renting a car- I am never without one. It would allow you so much more touring options- other than the secondary zoo. Consider a great ride along the Arm with the many pull offs and most likely goats viewable in the hills, possible bulugas. Head north a few miles and stop at Eagle river nature center- excellent trails- have seen moose here too. Alaska is wilderness, my last choice would be viewing in an arranged confined setting.
