Anchorage & Vancouver

Does anyone have any suggestions for the approx. 2-1/2 hours we have in Anchorage between the time the train gets in from Seward and the time we need to get to the airport? We are doing the helicopter glacer landing out of Juneau, so we want something different than that.
Also, any ideas for Vancouver? We are arrriving the afternoon before the cruise starts but after about 13 hours travel, (I think that's right with time zone changes factored in) and jet lag we want something easy and fairly short. I'm planning to be in bed early that night! I'm too old to keep going like the Everready bunny! We'll be staying at the Pan Pacific.
Thanks in advance! You are always so helpful!
Linda

Take a nice walk around Stanley Park. It is magnificent. Or have a good lunch at one of the better restaurants and there are many. This is one of the more "international" cities I can think of. Ethnic and good food abounds.

Stanley Park is in Vancouver and they have a rose garden and fantastic aquarium. I'm taking Holland to Alaska and they told me that their train goes straight to the airport.

I doubt you will have any time for any touring in Anchorage as it is an extremely busy airport with a 2 hour window necessary. I would strongly encourage you to extend your time there by several days. It is a great place to tour with so much to offer. It is a shame to spend so much more more getting in/out of Anchorage not to take advantage.
