Train from Seward to Anchorage

We are booked for the train from Seward to Anchorage through Princess. I was wondering if I would have any time to tour Seward prior to having to catch the train. Our flight does not leave Anchorage until midnight, so I am in no hurry. I would like to have time to see the Alaska Sealife Center in Seward.

Anybody know the answer?

I'm not sure of the exact timing. We're going next month. But I understand there is a late train that leaves Seward around 6:00 and gets into Anchorage about 10:30.. That may not give you time enough to get to the airport though. If you don't take the early train, you don't get it through Princess. Go the the Alaska Railraod site to get more info. Hope you enjoy your cruise as much as we intend to! Can't wait!

The ship contracted trains leave early morning- so no you won't have any time for any Seward touring. To make the most of your time, there is supposed to be a new airport train depot drop off that may or may not be available to you. Strongly consider renting a car to make the most of your day- there is plenty to explore.
