Default Tracy Arm

Hi all,

We are cruising through the Tracy Arm in August, not finding much info/pictures on it on the web. How does it compare to Glacier Bay?

Hi Grump,

Check out the search engine at Google.Com and type in "Tracy Arm"

You will find pictures of Tracy Arm there.

I can't compare Glacier Arm and Tracy Arm, I haven't been to either, but I will be in Tracey Arm while aboard the Pacific Princess, sailing out of San Francisco on July 1st.

Hope this helps,

Dave & Susan

Hi Grump,

We sailed to both Glacier Bay and Tracy Arm on the Yorktown Clipper. We saw the Johns Hopkins Glacier in Glacier Bay and the North and South Sawyer Glaciers in Tracy Arm. The experience was similar, but we saw several other ships in Glacier Bay while we had Tracy Arm all to ourselves. Our day in Tracy Arm was very cloudy with light rain, this lighting helped the glaciers to be the deepest blue we saw on that trip.

I don't think you'll be disappointed!

Take care, Bob

I sailed Tracy Arm via Auk Nu, honestly a big ship experience wouldn't be as good. My preference is still Glacier Bay first, Hubbord, College Fjord then Sawyer. I have been to them all.

I agree with Karen. We took tracy arm via auk nu and it was great. You can do it on the northbound Princess and Celebrity. We also saw the most wildlife on that trip, 15 humback, 30 orca, 3 black bear, porpoises, sheep, and goats. Trip was about $100 but well worth it.
Glacier Bay has about 16 glaciers of which you will se about 6 compared to the 2 in Tracy Arm.
The only other place I have been is the Misty Fjords but there is no glaciers there.
