Default fly fishing excursion

We are cruising Sun Princess 8/4 and have signed up online for the Fly-in Fly Fishing excursion offered by the ship. Has anyone done this? How about the dogsledding in Skagway (also the cruise line's offering).

Thanks for the help.

What port?? consider direct booking - especially your glacier dog sledding. www.temscoair.com They also ship contract for higher prices. Be prepared, it does occasionally get canceled due to weather.

The fly-fishing excursion is the only one offered at all; it's in Juneau. Do you know of any companies who charter independently? I have not done extensive research online yet.

We got a brochure in the mail from Temesco... it looks like the same exact excursion, so I'm assuming that's who Princess contracts with. The price diff is only 20 dollars.

Also TEMSCO and ERA are ship contractors. For 2 people a $40 saving would be worth my while.

I will be cruising with Celebrity (Infinity), departing Vancouver on July 18th.

My son an I are interested in fly fishing, and it seems that the only place where we will have time available is in Juneau. After some reserach I have only found:
- What it is offered by the ship
- Alaska Fly 'N' Fish Charters ($400/person for 4.5 hours)

Island Wings offers fly out fishing, but I think this is out of Ketchikan. The cost for half day fishing is $350/person (4 hours).

If you find any other options, let me know.
