We are stopping in Sitka next month. The raptor center looks interesting. Can one walk to the center from the tender dock?

Any suggestions on "must sees"? We're really looking forward to our visit

It has been 7 years since we were in Sitka, but we are still members of the Raptor Center. In fact, we went back in the winter to travel to Haines with them for the bald eagle festival there. The Center is a DO NOT MISS, but I don't remember if you can walk there.

Also go to the Russian Orthodox church and to the museum - their local craftspeople were particularly interesting

Without limitations, it is indeed walkable, but uphill part way. There is a loop all day shuttle for $7 that also includes the other "attractions". Request their visitor guide www.sitka.org
