Default Killed by Bears

Did anyone see the UPI story about a Calif couple killed by brown bears in Kodiak at remote campsite. Apparently found by pilot, bears killed later when they aggressively came at investigators.

Also it was Katmai National Park, not Kodiak.

I found the site . Thank you.

I have read dozens of bear attack reports over my life time. This one was especially frightening because of the second bear attacking the rescuers . I have never read of a case where it appears that at least 2 bears were acting together in an attack on humans . Could have happened before, but I never heard of it. May God have mercy on the victims and there families

Karen,
The first notice I saw yesterday was a short blurb on a talk show webpage and it mentioned Kodiak and Katmai. I found and read the AP story this morning where they still keep referring to Kodiak. Since I haven't had the pleasure of visiting this area yet, I didn't know they were different. Sounds as if they were flying out of Kodiak to Katmai to this remote site east of Brooks Falls. Its tragic for both the people and their families as well as the bears.
