My roommate and I are dying to go on an Alaskan Cruise, but unfortunately we are on a pretty tight grad school budget. I wonder if there are other cruisers out there who may be interested in getting a group together to get a good rate on a cruise this summer either Late May or Mid-Late August for 1 week or 2.
I think they usually give 1 cabin for free, if this is true, we call all share the savings and hopefully get a single cruise for $600 or so, and a back-to-back for $1,000.
Drop me an email if you're interested and I'll try to organize a group. --Dagny
Going at that time - it's possible to find cheap discounted cruises if you late book about 90 days before sailing and you are flexable. Keep track of pricing trends via several online booking agents, get on emails. Last several seasons Princess has offered $500pp or less on the late booked May trips. Group rates rarely compete with the last minute ones. You would need 16 people in 8 cabins I believe for a free cabin? Savings are small divided by 16.
