What time of day is recommended for this trip. They have 3 a day now. 8:25 a.m., one around noon, and the last one later in the afternoon. I'm concerned about being able to see anything if we go early. Any comments are appreciated.
We did the early one and had no problem with fog, but if you are worried about that, book a little later one. We really enjoyed the trip, the scenery is breathtaking.
Just guessing but I would think this is a crap shoot. Our cruisetour boarded for the one-way trip from Frasier to Scagway about noon and the first third of the trip was sort of foggy until we started down the summit. But,,,the scenery really is amazing!
You can't predict the weather- but there is a big advantage to taking the noon or later trip. The chance to get to the Park Service visitor center FIRST. All the activities and information will grealy enhance your later train trip. Seeing what you heard will have the history come alive!!! http://www.nps.gov/klgo/schedule.htm
