Default daytime clothing

From previous topics, I understand night dining as casual (no jeans) except for formal nights. But how about during the day? If we are going ashore in May we would probably be more comfortable in jeans and sweaters, but how about on board? Thanks for the help.

From the posts that I have read, dress in layers for shore. on board mostly jeans and shorts, except in the main dining rooms. Maybe a sweater or light jacket for the shows as the ac can get chilly. I have found any type of street clothing is fine.
there is a message board here to read about the packing. I think it is under pratical advise. Have a great time.

Everyone will be in jeans and such from morning until evening dinner.

I was in Jeans all the time including lunch while at sea in the main dining room,,just not at night if you are going to the dining room. To be honest, the couple of times I skipped the main dining room which was formal nights,,I did feel wierd walking around in just casual clothes amongst all the dressed up passengers but I think that was just me, no one game me a second look or a dirty look.

You don't see a lot of shorts. Myself, I don't like jeans in Alaska and greatly prefer wind pants, leggins. Quick drying is the key and no bulk. I spend all my time out doors and jeans tend to get and stay damp.
