We stayed there about two yrs ago and they were ok. They are owned by HAL. I found a good price on the internet for last two nites of May, like $89. They are right next to the McKinley Chalet, and they are small log cabins, with front porch, small bath, small table and chairs and two doors, all in knotty pine. The bed was ok, unit was clean but there was almost no counter top or place to set anything in bathroom. There rates went up more in June-Aug. The entrance and main office are not much to look at but units themselves were ok. Last year, we stayed at the Perch, cabins 9 miles south of the park next to Denali River Cabins. About the same price, but were not log cabins.
I tried to get another hotel but so far no luck. I am on a waiting list for the Princess Lodge and the McKinley Chalet. I do not mind the cabins and was glad to hear from you that they were clean. It's Alaska, I'm on vacation and I plan to enjoy every minute of it even if I sleep with the moose. Thanks for responding.
