white pass rail and glacier point safari

I need some input on these two excursions in Skagway. Is glacier pt safari well worth the trip and if possible would it be a good idea to try to get both into my schedule. That may not give us much time to explore skayway. Should we put more emphasis into exploring and leave off a tour. We will be going on cruise 1st of june.
