gold panning in Juneau

My husband and I will be cruising in July on Island Princess. We would like to do one of the gold panning excursions. We are looking at the gold panning and history tour $39 and also the Historic Juneau Gold mine tour. Which should we do? Anybody been on one of these? Sharon

The gold mine tour will take you into the actual AJ mine and then they have set up some gold panning stations.

The other will take you to Gold Creek and you'll pan in the creek.
