Default what do you think of the excursions I booked? Any comments,

OK...all you experts, can you give me your opinion? I have booked gold (literally I think). Going on the Spirit Sept 14-21. Not sure of the weather?? Anyone know in September? But, the excursions I have booked are as follows: Mendenhall Glacier & Wildlife Quest for Juneau, White Pass & Yukon Railway for Skagway and Best of Ketchikan for Ketchikan. What do you all think? I figured, I'm not going all the way across the world to not 'do it all' because I don't know if I will ever be back!!! Thanks for your advice, opinion, etc.

What is the best of Ketchikan???? If going about the town- far better is a walking tour - for free. I'll assume it includes something else. As for weather- last 2 seasons were exceptional with excellent weather- but VERY atypical. Normal is ave 3 days of rain, temps 40-50, and dusk at 7pm, so plan your touring with this in mind. Be well prepared in your attire and hope for a repeat of the last 2 years.

Hey Karen...best of Ketchikan is on the site under excursion, but includes: discover the sites as your floatplane takes off from the sparkling waters of the Tongass Narrows. View jagged mountain peaks, cascading waterfalls, crystalline lakes and clear rivers on a 30 min. flight over 2 million acres of majestic wilderness which is narrated and complementing music from a personal handset. You land on a secluded cove by the George Inlet Cannery and step back in time and learn why Ketchikan is known as the "Salmon Capital of the World. Enjoy a short video and the historic artifacts as you tour the cannery followed by a short walk on a rainforest path to a motor coach to go back to Ketchikan. Make a visit to Saxman Native Village, Totem poles and view the carving center. The tour takes you past Creek Street and other famed sites. You can either get a ride back to the ship or stay on creek street where you receive admission to Dollys House.
Its 4 1/2 hours long -- 195.00. I thought it was sorta like the best of both worlds (flightplane and city tour thing). Hope its a good one! Any comments? I wanted to do a flight thing, but also see the totom poles, so thats why I picked this one.

The flight is a very short portion of this trip as I have driven to the Cannery and it's only 13 miles south of Ketchikan. If this offers everything you wish to see, certainly it is a good organized tour with the highlights listed. Have a great time.
