Default Help with Anchorage sightseeing

We have one day in anchorage. We have to be at the airport at 11:00 PM and would like to see as much as possible of ANchorage. We can't find any hop on hop off tours. Any tips on what to see or where to get tours of Anchorage. Thanks for any help you can give us.

Request their visitor guide and research what is of interest to you??? www.anchorage.net Plenty of activities. Consider renting a car, Anchorage is a big spread out city, would make far better use of your time with having your luggage going with you and the direct route to the airport. Allow a 2 hour window, it can be an extremely busy airport with significant lines.

Anchorage and no one vendor is going to offer it all unless you rent a limo tour. However here are some suggestions.

The Great Alaska Trolley leaves from the downtown visitors center at 4th and F every half hour. They operate from 8am to 6pm They are hop on hop off. They will take you to Ship Creek, to a phot op for a great shot of Denali (if it's visible) and Sleeping Lady. To earthquake Park, through Spenard and downtown. The cost os $10 and a ticket is good all day long.

The Alaska Native Heritage Center http://www.alaskanative.net/ and the Anchorage Museum History and Art http://www.anchoragemuseum.org/ have a joint ticket deal. For $28.50 you get admission to both facilites and they run a free shuttle back and forth.

The Sourdough Mining Company http://www.alaskaone.com/aksourdough/ will pick you up at any Anchorage Hotel frora great meal and show. They are across the street from the main store of Alaska Wildberry Products http://www.alaskawildberryproducts.c...mainstore.html home of the world's largest chocolate waterfall. They also have opened an adjaecent Wildberry park with live reindeer.
