Norwegian Spirit

Just returned from an Alkaska cruise with Norwegian Spirit.
Some of the cruise was fine. The food was great in the speciality restuarants, and just average in Raffles. I found out that I did not enjoy being in a cattle call type environment. I think Raffles was ok for breakfast, because it was quick.
However if you went there for lunch or dinner, I became very irritated by being asked every 2 two minutes if they could take my tray..........it is certainly not peaceful dining.

The beds were very unconfortable......room clean, bathroom nice, and good service.

Stop in Prince Rupert was awful........nothing to do, waste of time.

The most horrifying part for us was when we departed from the ship. Had we known ahead of what we were going to have to do, we would have left the following day.
It was the most confusing annoying experience that I have ever had in an airport.
We could not check our luggage for about 2-3 hours. There were mamouth crowds of people waiting with their luggage, and no place to go and sit. It was so upsetting and tireing. This was our experience with Delta Airlines.

I know that this is not NCL's problem. It was an exhausting day.

Huummm. I'm headed to Alaska on a similar itinerary in 3 weeks. Everyone has the exact same comment about Prince Rupert . I mean, it looks so beautiful in pics. Can't make that up, can they?

Do you think it gets a bad rap because its at the tail end of a string of Alaskan touristy ports/cruise? or that folks are upset because their cruise is ending? ;-)

What airport are you referring to?

I heard there is nothing to do & no tmuch to see in Prince Rupert, so me & my mom are doing one of the longest excursions.
