For me, no not worth the high ship excursion price. But I just go directly to each independently. If of interest then consider them, with an edge for Mendenhall, IF first trip and going coming up for the salmon runs and good viewing at the fish ladder.
how about the white pass railroad in Skagway? is this a must, it sounds really good accept for on the way back (boring) should this be booked before we leave for the cruise or is this weather dependent?
I really enjoyed the Mendenhall Glacier and hatchery tour. I am leaving Saturday and may book it again. Yes it costs few dollars, but it's the best things to do in Juneau, especially since it always seems to rain there. Been on the railroad 3 times. Again it's a once in lifetime tour. Plan to nap on the way back. You can try to book at the train depot about 1 mile from the ship, but they may be sold out. Last time I did thay they had a nice bus up train back trip.
