karen or ca cruiser help!

it's less than 10 days till my cruise (only 4 days left!!! can't wait) on RCI Radiance, i can't book tours any more through their website so where can i book before the cruise or do i have to wait till i get to the ship. will weather really be a factor (1st week of August) or should i wait till i get to the ports?

You can book them once you get on board. I don't think you can book the day in port because so many excursions leave early but really not sure. If a tour is cancelled because of weather, they will refund you money.

My brother just came back and if the tour was not sold out you could get them when you got off the boat. The price was much less when using your Triple A card, if you are a member.

I NEVER recommend considering booking your tours in port when you walk off the boat. Always have plans and reservations in place before you go. If your PLANS are a bus tour in port, certainly reservations are not needed but at least you have the plan. It is a waste of time to be searching around and trying to arrange something once there.

Ship excursions will have forms available, fill it out immediately once you board, if ship tours are the way you want to go. Then check when the desk opens for what is still available. Hope you have decided what you are looking for?? Chances are you could independent book now if desired??

i would like to book the white pass train in skagway but it's now less than 10 days before we board so online booking is not an option. i also heard there's a train up & a bus back which i would prefer but i did not see this on RCI website excursions. any info? in juneau we would like to do the mendenhall glacier & salmon hatchery, and in ketchikan the totem bight & town tour or the lighthouse totems & eagles. i hope these are not sold out by the time we get to the ship the first day of sailing.

You can go to the RCCI website and look at the excursions. Of course it will pop up that you can't book, but it will allow you to look and see if there is still any availability. By the way, our TA said occiasionally people do cancel and some of the sold out excursions will be available, but you have to check onboard. I'll be one of the 2,000+ passengers joining you on the July 30 Radiance Sailing....

You mention booking on line is not an option. Is this thru RCCL only? Did you try booking the rail trip directly with the White Pass folks?
