end of July or end of August?

Any experienced cruisers want to comment on going either the end of July or the end of August? We're looking at either July 28, 06 or Aug 25, 06. August saves us $300 pp.

I like going mid/end of August. For the excellent wildilfe opportunities, But are you going interior??? Otherwise for the savings I would still pick the August. No guarantees on any date.

We're not going interior. Do you mean wildlife as in whales or other wildlife? Is the weather better in either month?

No, whales are seen the entire season, take tours if a priority. Bears via float plane trips out of Ketchikan are good either time as well . NO guarantees on weather. Go with what fits your schedule best. Will probably be slightly warmer end of July if that's a concern?

We're going with July. Fits DH's schedule better.
