Default Port or starboard

I will be going on my first alaskan cruise next summer. I will be going northbound. Is it better to have a view from the port or starboard side?

When going north get a cabin on the starbord (right) side. You will have views of the coast the entire trip.

No not the entire trip but a good portion. Most, ALL ships now sail outside passage part of the cruises. There are RAVES about the gulf of Alaska sailing, but I have been on ships that sailed WAY WAY out with only a tiny view of land with binoculars. So no guarantees on routing. Best with a one way is to be sure you have College fjords, then you have way more scenery.

Just got back, I was port side and had better views on College Fjord, Glacier Bay and Prince William Sound. My friends on starboard had better views from Vancouver to Ketchican. The other days were misty anyway so views were identical!
