Default Icy Strait

Has anyone been to Icy Strait--it is our last destination. Which excursions did you enjoy?

This is a big area for whale watching and fishing. Possible bear viewing August/Sept. I'll be there in 2 weeks, going all day whale watching.

We went their in May. The whale watching was great. There are a lot of humpback in the area, many could be seen right from the ship. As far as the port itself - there is nothing really to see. It is very small and can be seen in about 1/2 hour. It is a new port and is just being developed by the cruise lines.
