I like southbound since I like sailing inside Vancouver Island during the daytime, a big portion is missed sailing north. You are bound to get replies to sail south for the reason of getting over the "hectic" land tour first.

Do your homework, and make plans for your priorty for interior touring. A big common mistake is not allowing enough time, hence the hectic description. My interior travels never are rushed and are just as "relaxing" as the cruise for me. Plan carefully and if going with a cruise tour- be very informed on what you are purchasing. Most people are not expecially with the Denali Park tour. Do your homework and plan a great trip for your priorities. Alaska is paradise!!
