Advice on Alaska Excursion Photo Opportunities
My wife and I have booked a cruisetour with Princess leaving 15-May from Vancouver. We are now trying to decide which shore excursions we should take. I am hearing great things about the White Pass Scenic Railway Tour in Skagway. My question is: Does this tour make any stops for photos or is it a non-stop train ride? Also, I notice a bus tour called "To The Summit" travels to White Pass and advertises many photo stops. Has anyone taken this tour and is it any good? I'm very interested in opportunities to take photos of the scenery. We have booked the Mendenhall Glacier Helicopter Tour in Juneau and hope to get some great pictures there. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

No the train does not stop but it is slow moving, get out and stand at the vestibule for your photos. No the summit bus is not a good option in my opinion, better is the bus to Emerald Lake, Yukon with the one way train.

Also be CERTAIN you have the Tundra Wilderness tour in Denali Park on your cruisetour. You will be VERY sorry if you only have the Natural History tour, a complete waste of time, as this is a TOP scenic area. :)

Take a look at a sample of possible photos for you if you go to the right areas. :)
