Is your priority for your glacier viewing from your cabin??? Then you need the port side as the starboard have no viewing until leaving. All the commentary and "stops" are on the way in.

You do not mention what direction you are going?? For north, slightly more scenery on the starboard and south, port. But ships no longer do all the coastal sailing they used to, and Inside Passage, you have viewing on both sides.

Thanks for the info. We will be cruising south after being at Copper River Lodge. Do you have any other cabin location suggestions for us ? We plan to be on our balcony while cruising College Fjord and Glacier Bay. Any other comments we would appreciate.

You definately would have to have a port side cabin, with your preference for glacier viewing.

Port side, forward. This will give you the best view as you proceed forward with less partitions impeding your view. I had to lean forward to get this shot. No one wants to be a "Man Overboard" in freezing water or any other.

Take care,
Mike

FYI,

As nice as it is......Mike's photo doesn't begin to capture the beauty in Alaska. Nor does any photo. I'm sure Mike will agree with me.
