Balcony Breakfast- Yes or No?

I am booked in a starboard cabin on the Island Princess, so I've read that we will not have a view of the glaciers until leaving... would it be worth the extra charge to do the balcony breakfast without the view? Or will there still be plenty of cool things to look at off the starboard side? 8)

In my opinion, I don't even like eating outside in the sheltered areas of the buffet. Just too cool in Alaska, I like my hot food hot. If you don't care about food temps, and will be comfortable bundled up some, then go for it.

I still suggest you get out on deck when you get to Margerie and Grand Pacific Glacier, even though the ship "turns" this is only a small portion of potential glacier viewng.

When I'm home I like food hot and never eat outside.........however, on our balcony on the ship the food is irrelevant to me......it's wonderful out there.

I agree with Karen however that maybe not while entering the bay. It's better to be on deck imho until the ship pivots and starboard is facing the glaciers.........maybe lunch on the balcony instead of breakfast?

you can order that breakfast anytime you want it. We didn't enter Glacier Bay until after 10:00, so we had our breakfast delivered earlier and enjoy it and the scenery on our balcony and then still had time to get out on deck to see and listen to the commentary.
