Those who had been to Alaska and had Champagne Breakfast Balcony which is the best day to do? I am going North from Vancouver to Whittier, is the first Sea day (inside the passage), or Second Sea day? Seem like the Glacier Bay day would not be a good idea since the ship arrive early in the morning. Any suggestions?
Are you on the Carnival Spirit?
The first day at sea on this cruise is great in my opinion. You are really close to land on both sides of the ship and we saw several bald eagles and a couple of whales. The weather was overcast that afternoon and it was drizzling rain, but it was still gorgeous. If it's not too foggy and damp on your balcony, that first morning would be fine for your breakfast. But the great thing about having the balcony is that you can sit on your bed and just watch the scenary go by. The second day at sea we were in port around 8:30am or so, this might suit you better if you don't want to hurry to the breakfast buffet where everyone else will be.
Be sure to order room service at night and watch the world go by. You are going to love this cruise! When we went in May, it really didn't get dark outside until 10pm, so you have lots of opportunity for hanging out on your deck.
