Has anyone done 10 day RT to Alaska out of San Francisco?

Has anyone out there done the 10 day RT cruise to Alaska? We live close to San Fran. so we'd save on airfare and a 10 day cruise sounds Heavenly. I'm thinking that with all the running around everyone does at the Alaska ports, 2 sea days at the end of the trip would be very relaxing.

Just got off (8/4/06) the Regal Princess (San Fran. to Alaska), nice trip. Ship was nice though it's an older ship without some of the newer stuff. Also, ship does not use the "Inside passage" in either direction to Alaska, you will get some rough waters on the Pacific to/from Alaska (mostly Oregon/Washington coast). Food is good, entainment was hit and miss....
Service was very good, lots of smiles from the crew. Were from So. California and it's nice not spending hundreds of dollars flying to get to a ship that goes to Alaska, you will find many fellow Californians on board. I enjoyed this cruise and this was our second trip to Alaska, went on Holland's Zaandam a few years ago for which my wife and I felt was a little nicer ship/food. Service was great on both BUT this ship only sails from Vancouver.... Hope this helps.
