There are way more "must dos" then you can take in 10 trips.

For your priorities- you need to FIRST- look over a shore excursion list and narrow down your interests. There is no point in me, ranting about my flight prioritys if you have no interest.

I strongly suggest you also do a budget NOW, this also isn't the place to skimp. Too many people get the rave recommendations then faint due to the costs. Do your homework, it will pay off greatly, then repost.

Hi

I have been to Alaska twise

In Juneau I loved the Mendenhall Glacier Helicopter tour is was a very beautiful trip. The Mount Roberts Tramway was also very nice, I really enjoyed the view going up in the tram and the walk is also very senic.

In Skagway I really enjoyed the Senic White Pass Railway it was a very beautiful train ride and plenty of opportunity's to take lots of great pictures.

My tip would be to rent a car, get out of the touristy ports (i.e. Diamonds International and T-shirt shops) and see the real Alaska.

I'll certainly second that. So much to do, so little time.

I'll second that also. Although I didn't do a helicopter to Mendenhall. The bus out was fine with me, I then walked down to the lake's edge.
I did my flight to Misty Fjords( from Ketchikan). Creek Street in Ketchikan was an easy walk from the pier and worth the time.

Ditto: Juneau catch the whales by boat and also see the eagles as an extra.

Default Looking for Photos

While looking for more information on Ketchikan and Southeast Alaska, I found this site: ketchikanphotos.com
Gives a nice preview of Ketchikan and some great Wildlife.

Did anyone else know that Bald Eagles Swim?
