Anan or Pack Creek?

Hate to be a pest, but if were to choose between Anan or Pack Creek for bear watching, which would you choose? Thanks again.

Pack Creek for brown bears.

Anan is mostly blacks.

A total of 4 of us are planning to come between July 5 to July 22, 2008. We are just waiting for all the cruise lines to post their 2008 schedules.

Depending on the salmon runs, the first half of July is just not quite peak season at Pack Creek. If you opt for something just a bit later (last week in July - August) viewings ought to be spectacular.

I might choose Anan for a mid-July trip. Large runs of salmon arrive in KTN a bit before Juneau.
