Default Yukon/White Pass Railway

Help! We're booked for a cruise tour in June and am in the process of booking excursions. Since we're adding on a land tour and will do the railcars then do you still recommend the Yukon/ White Pass railway?

Yes - the White Pass & Yukon Route railway is far more spectacular than any section of the Alaska Railroad.

I agree, The White Pass RR is spectacular scenery. Actually, my opinion only, only the Seward/Anchorage segment is worthwhile. Anchorage/Fairbanks, has a lot of "down time" and trees and more trees the "scenery". Especially if McKinley isn't viewable, and it usually isn't less exciting.

The White Pass RR is definitely worth the time and money.

Yes. The scenery from the WP&YR is absolutely spectacular, and the route also has an incredible history. In fact, it is still regarded as a marvel of civil engineering!

Norm.
