clothing for mid-June cruise and land tour

Well I see that there has been some posts on this topic. But here it goes again. I was wondering if anyone can tell me what to bring with for a cruise and land tour for mid June. We are doing a glacier landing with the trekking. We are doing the Misty Fjords and a whale watching tour. I guess I need to know how many of what to bring. Do we bring shorts?? Has anyone used the on board self serve laundry? What about the laundry service you send out? We were thinking that maybe doing laundry sometime on the ship will save on what we have to pack. Then we also have to divide our clothes up since we are only allowed 1 bag per person on the land tour. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

Layers, mix and match what you have. lightweight lined jacket, knit hat and gloves, rain gear. 2 pair of walking shoes. The ship laundry is a zoo near the end of the cruise, you are better off, maybe considering doing laundry on day 3 or 4. Then send out end of your week.

I always do my laundry off ship in Skagway. Located at State and Second, fast drying propane dryers, I can be done usually about 1 1/4 hours. The ship dryers take that time alone. The time allows some shopping down the block if of interest. The SMART bus drops off 1 block away.

Yes pack a pair or 2 of shorts, they take up little room, but don't forget at least 1 sweatshirt/sweater etc.

We went in mid June and it was snowing through the mountain pass to the Yukon (for only a short while) so have a warm jacket handy.

Can also be rainy, so make that jacket a weatherproof one...
