Traveling on Princess---Itineray shows that we arrive in Fairbanks at about 8:15 p.m. and have an overnight at Bear Lodge . Our plane leaves at 9:00 a.m. the next morning. So what was the advantage of the extra night in Fairbanks when there is really no time to explore.
Can we express out dissapointment and ever make changes without penalties.
Where are you flying to from Fairbanks??? This is not a usual itinerary, usually you train/bus to Denali Park. Are you doing a Prudhoe Bay tour?? Sorry, but did you not research this tour choice you made??? Just about ALL flights into Fairbanks arrive late, I'll assume you booked cruiseair?
I don't know what tour you purchased, but if you also have only the Natural History tour in Denali park, that is another big mistake.
What "changes" are you looking to make, when is your trip and what are the spelled out cancelation terms??
You don't say when you are going??? I will also assume you have the Natural History tour?? Overall a poor choice tour, especially if you were interested in Fairbanks. Most of your time is going to be in transit, a problem of these short tour add ons. How did you book this, through a TA?? You may be able to get a change if you did?? Doesn't hurt to ask, I would definately consider booking a later flight, although penalities, you are all the way there- take advantage if it perhaps.
At the McKinley Princess, get to Talkeetna, flightseeing is excellent here and probably your only chance to see McKinley, if of interest.
Look over your shore excursion list, excellent tours to consider- narrow down your interests and repost.
We're on the 14 day Heart of Alaska leaving June 23rd 2007. Anchorage is our last stop and from the itenerary we don't get there until late afternoon/early evening. Then checkout time for the hotel is around 11 AM. The good part is that our flight doesn't leave until after 9pm. So we have lots of time, but I've pre-paid for the airport transfers and concerned that we might be stuck sitting in the airport versus seeing the sights of Anchorage.
