Skagway Eagle Preserve ... Ketchikan excursion

Has anyone out there done the Eagle Preserve Wildfife River Adventure in Skagway?? Wanting to know what your thoughts are about it?

Also any suggestions on excursions to take in Ketchikan?

My daughter and I are doing the Eagle Preserve Wildlife River Adventure when we go to Alaska June 3. I would be happy to let you know what we thing when we return June 10. We are so excited about our first cruise and going to Alaska. The cruise is a gift from my 20 year old daughter. What a lucky Mom I am, huh?

Seems like we followed each other to Mexico on the Spirit in Nov.
We leave Wed for Alaska again on the Spirit. Have booked the Crabbing Adventure in Ketchikan. Will let you know how it was. Also doing the Train in Skagway. Not really looking forward to cold weather..packing was really hard this trip....

Kimber, Thanks, I look forward to your input on the Eagle Preserve when you return.

Grandy, How did you ebjoy the cruise to Mexico? Did you use Rosie in Acapulco? I must agree with you on the packing thing. I was just thinking about that last week. How you can take lots more clothes to warmer weather because they take less space. Not too keen on the colder weather thing but I know the scenery will be worth it. Please let me know how your trip goes too.

The Eagle Preserve raft trip goes through a spectacular broad valley but don't expect to see a lot of eagle or any other wildlife. The huge concentrations of eagles arrive there in November. You see lots of eagles during your cruise, at the ports or even soaring overhead.

Very slim. It happens, but not often.

Extremely rare, and this includes the way off with binoculars "moose dots". Don't expect any wildlife except a few eagles.

As only a side- eagles were loaded in the trees, easily seen with binoculars out of Ketchikan.

Brown eyed girl... We just got back from Alaska..beautiful country. We over packed..weather was great. Only rain was Whitter when we got off the boat. Stayed in Anchorage for four days and did lots of driving.
Our trip to Mexico was great too..I still like warm weather and beaches but Alaska was a nice change. Yes we used Rosie, have recommended her to lots of people. She has emailed me serveral times. I have a friend who I recommended her to and he was so impressed with her that he is helping her set up her own website.
How was your cruise?
