Default Victoria Whale Watching

We will be in Victoria in July and want to go whale watching. Would you recommend an independent tour operator and if so who? Many of the whale watching tours use Zodiac-Style boats. Are these type of boats as good as a regular boats? The Zodiacs look like fun but we are concerned our cameras will get wet and we will not be able to stand up to take pictures. Thanks for all your advice.

The zodiacs are excellent, giving an on the water view. What is your port time??? Independents- unless you are looking to charter a group don't run past 6pm for the tour start. Ship tours run later.

I go with Seacoast Expediations the most, very convenient and well run is Prince of Whales, which is right at the Inner Harbor.
