Default stupid question...does it actually snow when you are there?

I know snow is plentiful on the glaciers and such, but do you seen snow falling while you are in alaska?

I don't like posts titled "stupid question"... there are no "stupid questions", only stupid posters like me! ;-)

I see snow falling while I'm in Alaska, but that's only in the winter months. If you're visiting during peak months (June, July, August) you will not see snow falling. I've seen snow in Juneau during early May and late September, and if you're on any of the land-tours that take you to Barrow or Prudhoe Bay there's a small chance of seeing snow fall in late September, but don't count on it.

Have fun!

There was plenty of snow, on the ground last week in the Yukon. Also, I've had it snow, 9-1 in Denali Park. But over all, no chance of it snowing during the cruise season.

Oh, there's still snow on the ground here in Juneau in places too.

9/1 seems early for snow... what elevation did you see the snow? Was it "sticking" or just sleet? What year?

Sounds like perfect weather for that hat and glove you were going to knit for me...? ;-)
