Default Why are there no November cruises to Alaska?

Ok my fiance and I decided that we should do Alaska for our November 2008 honeymoon...but from what I am seeing is that everyone stops sailing in September. Does anyone know a cruise line that sails in November?

But, you could have some real solitude. If needing begining of Nov, there is the Sitka whale fest. http://www.sitkawhalefest.org/
Haines has the eagle fest- http://www.baldeaglefestival.org/

Northern Lights could be beautiful, if you want some time in Alaska. Chena Hot Springs is an option?? http://www.chenahotsprings.com/

The Alaska ferry runs year round. All cruises are over by the end of Sept.

All of the ice breaker cruises are in Anartica, I believe. But those 20+ hour nights could be interesting!!!

Not only is it too cold for an Alaskan cruise in November, but we can get some pretty good storms in this area at that time of year and while cruise lines can avoid hurricanes in the Caribbean by taking a different route, that wouldn't be possible here and I don't think they would want to intentionally subject their passengers to rough waters.
