Default Is Talkeetna worth seeing?

What is there to do in Talkeetna? Should I go horseback riding in Talkeetna or should I wait until I get to the Mt. McKinley Princess Wilderness Lodge?

If I go straight to the lodge on the bus with the rest of the Island Princess passengers, will I be waiting in lines in a sea of cranky cruisers? How does the land leg of the trip work?

We enjoyed Talkeetna. Of course, we were in our own rental car. Denali (Mt. McKinley) was out for us to enjoy. Ate at Latitude 62 - very good food. Quaint little town.

Talkeetna is always a stop for me. IF you have the time, I suggest you at least take a look. Some excellent meal options as well.

Thanks for the tips. You've helped me decide to have lunch and go horseback riding in Talkeetna.
