Y'all have been so helpful with my Alaska questions so I need to pose another one - Someone recommended fishing in Ketchican with Northern Lights (Ken) so I booked, but now she is remembering it wasn't all that great. She went in June and only caught 1 fish. We are going in August, do you think the fishing will be better? I know fishing is never a for sure thing, but I don't want to spend 4-5 hours on a fishing trip and only catch 1 fish. What do y'all think? Can anyone recommend someone else or do you think it will be okay to stay with Ken?

Not sure who "she" is??? But my family has gone with Ken several times over the years, and won't consider going with anyone else. Always fantastic trips.
But they do call it "fishing". And I wouldn't expect any charter to have a crystal ball. August is prime season, so hopefully you will be catching fish with whom ever you go with.
Thanks Karen for your quick response. "She" is a person from my hometown that used Ken. I do understand that it is fishing. We fish a lot here in Texas and sometimes they bite and sometimes they don't. I just got a little scared off by the report that the person who recommended him was then backing up because they only caught 1 fish. I'm so glad that I heard more information. I did check a fishing chart and all fish except King Salmon are in peak season. I hope we will have a great time.
