I would like to view bears on my upcoming cruise (R/T Seattle) in September. I heard that this is late in the Season for bears. Does anyone have a suggestion for the best chance of viewing them at that time. I had read Neets Bay may be worth while. What do you think?
Thanks
I think it is always the luck of the draw anytime you go to Alaska. In June, we saw one bear off in the distance. There are many companies that offer bear viewing excursions. This might be your best bet as the operator of the tour would be the most knowledgable of their whereabouts. Good luck.

We were in Alaska the first week in September last year. The only place we saw bears was on a helicopter tour of the Juneau Ice Fields. From the air we saw a mother bear and her two cubs. Our Pilot swooped down for a closer look.
Really awsome!!
We just returned from Alaska and two bears were spotted while sailing through Glacier Bay.

The bear will come out to near the creeks to feed themselves during morning and evening hours. If you plan your time well, you will have a chance to spot them
