Default Group Cruise?'s

Hi Everyone,

I am organizing a group cruise to Alaska in June 2009. We have 3 cabins so far and hope to get more people so we can ALL get a discount. We would like to do Princess, probably Vancouver to Whittier the 2nd week of June 2009.

Has anyone ever organized a group through Princess?
Is anyone interested in joining our group?

This is our first Alaskan Cruise and everyone going has been on a cruise at least once before. (so no nubbies Thanks God)

Any suggestions as to a ship? Or If another cruiseline is better. We range in age from 27-65 (my husband and I are the youngest ones, but enjoy the company of people older than we are)

Thanks a bunch!

Nope, you got it right. Princess does Alaska right. I would suggest the Diamond or Sapphire Princess.

However, I do not recommend organizing it with Princess. Find a good TA. Princess may or may not give you what you need. A good TA will work with you and tailor your trip to your needs and desires.

I have taken a group to Alaska a couple times, but not recently. I suggest you get more informed on Alaska. The organizer needs to have answers and expected to know what they are talking about.

For me, I don't sail one ways, without doing interior Alaska travel of at least another week, so you need at least bare details on that option for interested cruisers. Highly recommended it be considered. It is a long trip to Alaska and usually costly, taking advantage of already being there is definately worthwhile.

I overall think HAL is a better choice, since it goes to Seward, which offers plenty of activites and is definately a gem in Alaska. Again, do your homework on this.
