Default flights

We are booking a princess Seattle rountrip trip cruise for mid-may 2009. I am very good about finding deals and know my way around and about cruise ships, but i have never flown to a port.

I kinda figure from reading all the posts here that arriving a day early is best.

My question is where and when should I start looking at flights????

We are in West Palm Beach florida and can fly out of west palm, Ft. lauderdale or Miami. I just don't where to go to get the best flight rates! thanks for all the help.

I would check flights out of each and see whats the cheapest way to go. I'm not sure how far in advance they publish the flights, but as soon as they do, check and beware, the prices change daily...I recently booked flights from Chicago to Seattle for 571, cheapest I could find, and thats for this August.

Flights are usually avaiable about 300 days(10 months) in advance. The flights for our Jan 08 cruise where not avaiable before May 07.

The central sites will show you a comparison across all airlines, but you might find cheaper fares on the individual airline's site.

And if you do as much personal travel as I do (25,000 miles per year or more), it pays to pick one airline and stay with it rather than switching around to get the perks of the elite tiers of your chosen airline's frequent flyer program.

I always look at each airline and then go to Priceline. Seems that a lot of the PL flights are connecting and don't even show the non stops??
