airfare vancouver???

i could look, but not betting it will stay as is..

i know that flying to canada and out of anchorage is very expensive, but i've also heard that flying to canada etc is going to get even more ridiculous with extra taxes and fuel surcharges.

has anyone heard of what is possibly to come. I'd love to cruise all thru instead of roundtrip, but i'm afraid seattle might be the only affordable option for us.

We just purchased our air fare R/T out of Vancouver for 386 bucks on Alaska Air..

That's pretty decent air, but you are only coming from CA...from the Midwest or East coast, another story...I couldn't find air to Vancouver for under $900 for this summer, so I'm flying and cruising out of Seattle instead. ITs really tough especially when the Alaska cruises are so much money to begin with, then there is the excursions, ugh!

We flew Northwest from Minn/St Paul to Vancouver BC, but with the fuel situation airfare is thru the roof so you really have to watch.

We got our airfare in February assuming the fares would go up. We got our fare for $677 going from Knoxville to Vancouver, then from Anchorage to Knoxville-one stop each way. I am so glad we did, now.

Check out Cathay Pacific. THey are a hidden secret when it comes to airfare to Vancouver. Van is a stop on the way to Hong Kong and Asia for Cathay. I have family/friends who have flown that route for years and the service is wonderful as it is considered an international flight, as opposed to the TOTAL lack of service that you receive on domestic flights these days.
We will be flying JFK to Vancouver direct (in a few weeks) and the flight was a little over $400 with tax!!!!!!!! This is a yearly special that Cathay runs for JFK-Vancouver. Cathay does not have lots of cities that it serves in the US, but it is worth checking out before booking!
