Americian express suggested I get tickets ASAP as possible for my trip to Alaska next year as they have limited seats to be used with 'points' so I booked the flight up to Anchorage. We sail out of Whittier. I am not familiar with that area AT ALL and need to know - flying in to Whittier, where do we stay for the night until we sail the next day? Hotel I mean. Whittier? Anchorage? How do we get to the terminal the next day, etc etc etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
You fly into Anchorage, transfer to Whittier and sail from there. Anchorage is the place to overnight, as there is minimal accommodation in Whittier. Lots of options for transfer - Alaska Railroad, cruiseline shuttle by rail or bus, or private limo or bus.
