Gold Panning excursion help

Hi,

We've finally got round to booking our shore excursions with RCCL and find that we can't do the gold panning trip my mother in law really wants to do as the only times available conflict with another excursion we've booked.

Does anyone know/can recommend a company in Juneau that offers this kind of trip?

I can't remember any names of the tour companies.

What I would do first thing on board and I do mean FIRST THING, is check with the excursion counter. They may have had some cancellatons or could point you in the right direction and if no luck there , when you get to Juneau check with the different vendors on the dock to see if there is an excursion that fits your time period.

Do you stop in Skagway? I think they pan for gold there too.

Thanks for the advice. We have loads of time in Skagway so will look there - the excursion brochure didn't show any gold panning trips there so I assumed there mustn't be any - will try looking for local vendors.

The advice about going straight to the excursion counter is a good one too. I remember when we went to Puerto Rico there were no excursions shown on-line at all but when we got on board there were several to choose from. Not sure why they did that but at least were able to book an excursion.

Thankyou for the link. Their times clash with excursions we've already booked in Skagway too. Looks like we're destined not to go gold panning.
