temperature on the ship

We leave for Alaska tomorrow (woohoo). It looks like the temperature in the ports will be in the mid fifties. What should ewe expect the temps to be like in the boat. Should I plan to wear shorts or should I plan for pants and sweatshirts on board the ship?

Just dress for the outside weather, since you will be out on deck a lot, also in layers. What are the ports you will be in?
